What would you say is the most unique thing you have in your music collection? My collection is very unique because it has a variety of music, but as for the most unique, I'd have to say it's this African cd I have. It's music kind of like rap mixed with African groups and some of the lyrix are even in another language! I like it a lot though! Also I'd have to say that next to that, the next unique would be a cd I have from a group that can actually be found only in Mexico, and I hope to get another one of their cd's soon! It's my favorite group and I love them a lot! So what do you think is most unique about your music collection?

Most of my collection is composed or fock/metal/heavy metal artists, but I do have some German songs, and some Japanese rock as well. The most unique things in my collection would probably be those things, and the few electronic songs that I have.

Hmmm. Well, my musical tastes are very broad. The most unique thing I have is a promotional video for an Australian Beer. They got the members of a symphony orchestra to put down their regular instruments and play this song written for them to play on beer bottles. Some are blown, and some are struck with mallets. It really sounds neat.

I have a variety of music too, but my latest obsession, and probably the most unique band, is Apocalyptica. They consider themselves a hard rock band, but they use a bunch of cellos in their songs, and are famous for their Metallica covers. Trust me, listening to Metallica songs being played on cellos is awesome!

I'd have to say it's some Brian Eno ambient albums, that I play as I'm going to sleep.

Well my brother likes some of those Indi groups, i think it's some kind of metal but these particular groups are rare!
I think this was a good topic! Smile!

On one of my CD's, I have a song that's, I think it's in the Turkish language. I don't know what it's even saying, but I still like it. *smile* And when I can get some more CD's, some that I'm hoping to get include songs in other languages. There is also a CD from a band called Joy Electric (which I think is instrumental music), that I liked and may also get.

I understand that Brian Eno is the guy who wrote all the Windows XP music.

I'm sure he could be, he's done so many different types of music. He used to produce a whole bunch of old punk albums, and produces a whole bunch of mainstream artists today, including some work of his own. He's known as the godfather of ambient music.

the two most unique things in my music collection are probably the CD of music by Frederick Chopan being played through a player piano, and, a compilation of live recordings of django reinheart called Quintette du Hot Club de France 25 Classics 1934-1940. I find this to be an interesting set of tracks because it crosses the period from all be it tense peacetime to the occupation of france and the beginning of the second world war. He was a gypsie and it's interesting that he was one of the few artists of his kind who were not captured and thrown into concentration camps. but that is another discussion for another board.
